I miss the old days. I really really do. I mean I know I wasn’t born in 60's and 70's, but I hear my
mother and father talk bout it all the time of much things have changed. I agree change is good.
Thank goodness we have not became as raciest as we use too (Klu Klux Klan) I know we still
have it to this day but not as as bad!. It’s always going to be there no matter what, but now we
just don’t kill black skin people because they’re skin is black. I miss, well you know what I mean.
I miss the days when freedom was freedom, where we sang songs, and just be yourself, not
worrying bout if you fit in (70's and 80's). I miss, the cost of things. The gas prices were sky high
the past year here, but then it wasn’t that much. Were you could buy a comic book for 5¢, now
it’s $4.99 or more. I must say I’m glad technology came in or I wouldn’t know half of the people
I know now, that are alike me and understand me. What I really miss is the society from then
instead of now. I love that movie “Now and Then” any ways off of topic. My mother says I have
it luckier then what she had it, but the way I look at it maybe I did but I still wish I lived then
instead of now. My mother was raised on a farm, so yeah half of her summers were gone cause
she was working in the tobacco fields, but she learned how to drive when she was 8, same with
my aunt. At school, they didn’t have that much judgment as we do now, yeah they had the
groups:: geeks, losers, jocks, popular, etc. One night I was talking with my mother about how I
get judged the way I dress and look, and bout the groups at school :: preps, jocks, geeks/nerds,
losers, social outcasts etc. and she said that yeah they had that but not as much as we do today.
Preps who wear there brand of clothes and be money wise the same, then your good to enough to
get to be known. It’s incredible how much this is part of our society, young and old. Even Family
wise from then to now has change, how family’s spent time together. Now a days it’s let’s sit in
front of the t.v and that’s it. Then, they would play card games, and chit chat.
Mostly out of this Rant is that the world has changed for better or for the worst.
TV shows are way different, I remember show’s like Cheers, Smurfs, Betty Boop, Mr. Rodgers,
Pee Wee, Fraggle Rock, Dukes of Hazzard, etc. where did they all go?
Money, the prices for everything.
Freedom, where did this go? We did get fined if you watered your flowers or grass.
Everything has changed................
And everyone always say “All the good memories are back in the good old days”
So DO WE the younger generation have it better or worse?!
