OV E R V I E W: The multitalented and multitatooed guitarist made a living as a studio musician from 1989 until recently. John was in the band "froSTed" from 1995 - 1996. Red Square Black was a band John started as a result of his association with Randy Castillo, who was the drummer for Ozzy Osborne for many years. The band was signed by Zoo Records and distributed by BMG. Bob Marlette produced the album and contributed a very small part on three songs. The album really took off, and Zoo booked a US tour, which included a show in Detroit. Unfortunately for the band, John was selected out of over 2,000 guitarists to do the 1996 KD Lang World Tour, and, as they had no additional tour dates scheduled, opted to go on tour with her. Randy than decided to go back on tour with Ozzy, so Red Square Black was dissolved at that time. |
